Mission
The four main missions of Kendriya Vidyalayas are as follows:
- To meet the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including defense and paramilitary forces personnel by providing them education under a uniform curriculum of education.
- To take school education to the pinnacle of excellence.
- To introduce and enhance experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other educational bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). .
- To develop the feeling of national unity and Indianness in children.
Government of India employees transferred and transferred from one place to another
Migrating population and also in remote and underdeveloped areas of the country.
It includes arranging, establishing, providing financial assistance, controlling and maintaining schools i.e. central schools for the children of the resident population etc. Along with this, providing all such works and facilities and all other works which are necessary to run such schools. - Key Points
- There are similar textbooks and bilingual (Hindi and English) medium of instruction for all Kendriya Vidyalayas.
- All Kendriya Vidyalayas are affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education.
- All Kendriya Vidyalayas are co-educational and mixed schools.
- Sanskrit language is taught from class VI to VIII.
- The quality of teaching is maintained at its best by appropriate teacher student ratio.
- No tuition fee is charged from all the students up to class 8th, all the girl students up to class 12th, SC/ST students.
